Miconaz is used to treat a variety of conditions, most notably fungal infections of the feet, such as athlete's foot; vaginal yeast infections that cause itching and unpleasant discharge; and skin conditions including fungal patches or infections under the breasts. It can also be useful in treating some fungal infections of the scalp or nails, depending on the form of the medication used, whether it is a topical cream, powder, or gel.
Miconaz is used to treat fungal infections inside the mouth, including the infection known as oral candidiasis. In this case, the medicated gel form is usually used and is applied directly to the affected areas inside the mouth.
